Attis Trading Website

The purpose of this project was to bring the client’s website up-to-date with a recent brand refresh, improve usability and analytic goals, as well as provide users with a quick-hit dispensary locator to quickly find the closest store location.

My task was to provide a clean, mobile-friendly experience in finding locations and what each dispensary had in stock. I used Sketch and InVision to design two options for the client. I also evolved their branding by adding an artful tagline under the Attis Trading Co logo, because I felt that users might need a short explanation of what they did, given that “Attis Trading Co.” doesn’t lend itself immediately to “marijuana grower and provider”.

My process

I focused on getting users to the dispensary locations, and positioning Attis as experts by leveraging their robust blog articles. Since their branding and color palettes were in transition, I took ideas from the interior of their dispensaries (which wouldn’t change) and used colors and textures that both complemented the brand and created a visual association for the user.

In Sketch I created a global artboard layout using guides that matched the Foundation 6 default columns so I could easily plan responsive blocks of content. I provided CSS styles exported from Sketch as well as some I wrote myself to the developer.

Post-launch it was learned that the locator and order pages became the most popular, and there was an increase to traffic both to the website and the client’s Instagram feed.

(*I don’t like or use marijuana. I just like to design.)
